Captains Log: 6/09/08
Surviving the worst of the storm, I appear to have crash landed on a remote island in the vast ocean that is the Intar-webs. Armed with only a college portfolio, a toothpick, and my trusty swiss army knife I must attempt to make shelter in this barren place that I will soon know as home.
Blown way off course from my original destination, I can only surmise that I am somewhere off the coast of Facebook. I can only hope I have not drifted too far east, into the Bay of Angst or worse yet: the dark land of Myspace. For the moment I have named my Island of culture, DeviantArt, although its true name is lost to me.
My situation is dire, food rations are low, and much more drastic, my wireless connection is fickle at best.
Note to self: keep steady fire going in hopes someone will see it. If needed watch reruns of Survivorman on Youtube to hone key survival skills like 'Not eating for a week'.

Having decided that making a Note in a bottle is not only vomit-inducingly cliche but also extremely inefficient. Am drawing up plans for a more efficient system, combining social network sites, nose grease, and half-shell coconut rafts.
